$3,000,000 settlement for a construction laborer who was asked to manually lift a massive wood-framed wall that was approximately 9 feet high and 80-100 feet wide. There was no pre-lift safety meeting beforehand, pump jacks were not used, and the Defendants did not conduct a pre-lift inspection or assessment to ensure that the wall could be safely lifted. Laborers struggled to lift the wall, eventually dropping it and crushing the legs of our client.
