Rising Danger with Large Trucks and Pedestrians

The New York Times reported on January 7, 2020, that just one week into the new year, four pedestrians in NYC have been killed by large trucks or vehicles.   These vehicles, often construction vehicles or garbage haulers in dense urban areas, pose a unique risk to pedestrians that may not be visible to drivers.  This article made us think about all of the construction going on in our PNW cities, like Seattle, and our own mix of large vehicles and pedestrians.  Companies and governmental contractors have duties to operate their vehicles safely, and have duties to properly train drivers.  Deaths like these reported by the New York Times should never happen.
