On August 18, 2021, GLP Attorneys attended the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ) Judicial and Awards Reception held at the Columbia Tower Club in Seattle, an event for which our firm was a Platinum Sponsor. Attorneys from our firm in attendance included Shareholders John Webber, Cydney Campbell Webster, and James Gooding, Partner Ben Compton, and Senior Associate Attorneys Sarah Fleming and Adrienne Harris.
Shareholder John Webber, who serves as WSAJ’s current Vice President of Public Affairs, gave a speech introducing the scholarship winners – two of which are former Legal Interns for GLP Attorneys, Jackie Borgonia and Samantha Struve from Seattle University – and Fellows. GLP Attorneys serves as one of the Mentor Firms for Summer Fellows, and we extremely proud to support WSAJ and the top-notch individuals that come out of these programs.
The event honored the following individuals with awards – Honorable LeRoy McCullough from King County Superior Court for Judge of the Year, Omari Salisbury from Converge Media for Excellence in Journalism, and William Rutzick from Schroeter Goldmark Bender for the Gerhard Letzing Public Justice Award. Proceeds from the event benefited the WSAJ Fellowship Program and Bar Prep Scholarship Program.
