Blake Kurtzman is an Associate Attorney in the Tacoma, Silverdale, and Vancouver offices of GLP Attorneys.
Blake has been with GLP Attorneys, representing injured individuals, for nearly five years. He first joined the firm as a legal intern, where he saw firsthand how a dedicated advocate can help turn one of the most stressful and overwhelming moments in a person’s life into something manageable. After that first summer, Blake committed the rest of law school to sharpening his skills with the goal of returning to serve plaintiffs at GLP Attorneys. Since beginning his practice, he has handled cases involving traumatic brain injuries, assaults, slip- and trip-and-fall incidents, premises liability, and a wide range of motor vehicle collisions.
Blake is a proud Redhawk, graduating magna cum laude from Seattle University School of Law. During law school, he sought out as much hands-on experience as possible, completing externships with the Seattle City Attorney’s Office and the Honorable Mary Jo Heston of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington. He also served as an editor on the Seattle University Law Review and was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board.
Originally from the greater Philadelphia area, Blake remains a devoted Eagles fan but is proud to call the PNW home. In his free time, he enjoys competing in amateur golf tournaments, road-tripping around Washington and Oregon with his wife, and dragging his reluctant nine-year-old boxer mix, Pearl, out of bed for long walks.
Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, Blake now lives in Seattle with his wife, Maya, and their 7-year-old Boxer mutt, Pearl, who refuses to walk for more than five minutes at a time. Although still a devoted Philly sports fan, the PNW has become Blake’s permanent home. His favorite activities include playing in amateur golf competitions around Washington, traveling to Eagles road games, and road-tripping to the Oregon coast.
