Scott Shawver is a Partner at GLP Attorneys based out of the firm’s Seattle office.

Professional Overview

Scott received his Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon. Scott has learned how to be an effective personal injury attorney from his experience working from many perspectives in the legal field.  He has had significant trial experience as a criminal lawyer, giving him a detailed working knowledge of what works in the courtroom.  He represented clients on charges as varied as Robbery in the First Degree, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Complex Fraud cases, Drug Charges, and Murder in the First Degree.

Scott has worked as a Senior Staff Attorney at an national insurance defense firm, where he handled cases involving automobile accidents, product liability defects, premises liability claims, defamation claims and commercial litigation. In all, he has tried over one hundred cases, giving him a level of experience in the courtroom which is rare among attorneys. Scott was nominated as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2005, which is awarded to the top 2.5% of attorneys in the State of Washington. He is also an active member of the American Association for Justice.

Scott joined GLP Attorneys in 2012 with extensive experience in personal injury work, as well as over a decade of hands-on courtroom advocacy. In 2019, Scott was named a Senior Associate with the firm. In 2021, Scott became a partner of GLP Attorneys.
