On Thursday, April 11, 2024, a police chase involving a kidnapping suspect caused a fatal crash that killed an 83-year-old woman and injured two other people near Lynwood, Washington.
According to reports by KIRO7, the Snohomish County police were pursuing a man who was alleged to have domestically abused a woman and kidnapped her in the car he was driving.
The suspect drove southbound in northbound lanes, hitting the 83-year-old woman’s car head-on. He may be charged with vehicular assault, domestic violence, a DUI, and second-degree murder as a result of the accident and kidnapping.
After the accident, the woman who was kidnapped was taken to the hospital for her injuries.
