Professional Overview

Alex is a seasoned attorney and Shareholder at GLP Attorneys whose practice focuses on some of the most complex and high-exposure personal injury cases in Washington State. Over his career, he has successfully litigated hundreds of cases involving wrongful death, catastrophic injury, maritime accidents, insurance bad faith, construction site injuries, nursing home abuse and neglect, product liability, premises liability, and government negligence. Alex is frequently sought out to lead or consult on cases that present intricate legal or factual challenges — from multi-party litigation to appellate advocacy shaping Washington law.

Alex’s work has helped define important areas of personal injury law. He was lead counsel in Leahy v. State Farm Mut. Auto. Ins. Co., a landmark Court of Appeals decision involving insurance bad faith, and in Kim, et al. v. Lakeside Adult Family Home, et al., a Washington Supreme Court case that established civil liability for mandatory reporters who fail to report abuse and neglect of vulnerable adults.

A member of the GLP Attorneys team since 2006, Alex began as a legal intern, became an associate attorney in 2008, and was named Shareholder in 2016. Since 2022, he has been recognized by Washington Super Lawyers for his excellence in litigation, after being named a Rising Star from 2015 through 2020 — honors reserved for the top 2.5% of attorneys statewide.

In addition to his litigation practice, Alex plays a key leadership role across the firm, mentoring attorneys and teams on complex case strategy, trial preparation, and risk evaluation. His collaborative approach and deep understanding of Washington tort law make him a trusted resource for colleagues navigating the most challenging cases, reinforcing GLP Attorneys’ reputation for legal excellence and client advocacy.
