Legal Internships
Legal Internships at GLP Attorneys
The primary goal of the GLP Attorneys Legal Internship Program is to hire and develop high potential students by providing a meaningful work experience that is mutually beneficial to the Intern and the firm. We believe Interns are the key to our future success and value those students who are interested in long term roles with the firm. The firm believes in promoting from within, and every intern will have the opportunity to participate in a Career Conversations event during their 3rd year of law school.

This is a Paid Internship
In the summer, we encourage our Legal Interns to work full-time, and during the school year we ask for part-time availability. GLP Attorneys is a flexible workplace, and we strive to provide a fair and reasonable balance between work life, school life, and personal time. GLP Attorneys may employ between 5-25 Legal Interns at any given time, depending on the need. GLP Attorneys will provide all tools and resources needed.
Internship Guidelines and Responsibilities
Interns at GLP Attorneys will transition from the experience with practical skills and a meaningful glimpse into the personal injury plaintiff world. This pre-professional experience will include demand writing, legal research, brief writing, drafting pleadings and motions, and other assignments as given by the firm and Attorneys. Every effort will be made to provide opportunities to participate in depositions, mediation, arbitration hearings, court hearings, and other firm projects that will help advance education through the internship program.
Law School Partners
Each year we partner with various law schools in the Pacific Northwest to recruit and attract our next “Class” of Legal Interns. Most Interns will have starting dates in the summer and the opportunity to continue part-time during the school year. Typically, Legal Interns will be in their 2nd and 3rd years of law school.
Office Locations
Founded in 1986, GLP Attorneys is the largest Pacific Northwest personal injury law firm with 39 attorneys and 14 office locations. Interns can work from any of our office locations in Seattle (headquarters), Bellingham, Boise, Burlington, Coeur d’Alene, Marysville, Portland, Silverdale, Spokane, Tacoma, Tri-Cities, Vancouver, and Wenatchee.
Types of Cases
We are a word-of-mouth referral practice that has always focused on plaintiff’s personal injury cases from automobile collisions, aviation accidents, bicycle injuries, brain injuries, construction injuries, highway design, insurance bad faith, logging accidents, maritime injuries, motorcycle collisions, nursing home abuse and neglect, pedestrian accidents, premises liability, product liability, trucking injuries, workplace injury, and wrongful death. We are an AV+ rated firm and achieve great results by providing world class service to our clients.
Hybrid Work Experience
At GLP Attorneys, we are committed to providing an excellent employee experience. We offer an engaging and collaborative work environment as noted and supported by our long-term Shareholders, Attorneys and Staff. We offer learning in a creative environment, and we thrive on challenging and interesting work. GLP Attorneys strives to offer an environment where people can utilize and develop their skills, talents, and interests to grow professionally and personally, while building rewarding careers.
We offer hybrid Internship opportunities with an expectation that Interns will be in-office for at least two to three days per week during the summer. We understand that flexibility is paramount, but feedback from previous Intern classes, including those who worked at the firm during the pandemic, is that in-person collaboration was more impactful for learning and developing relationships.
