Brian Ackerman is the Executive Director of Finance for GLP Attorneys based in our Seattle office.
Professional Overview
Brian is responsible for the execution of the firm’s financial policies, accounting operations, and IT infrastructure. His goal is to improve the firm’s financial status by driving sound revenue practices, innovative processes, and operational efficiencies.
Brian has effective analytical skills, sound strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, exceptional numerical proficiency, and strong leadership abilities. He translates complex financial information and concepts to Shareholders and Executive Leadership. Brian assists in creating initiatives that drive financial performance using technology and managing high performing people. He is a leader focused on developing team synergies to produce better more reliable support to the firm’s legal teams. Brian is a change agent always seeking to build and improve a strong operational support structure that creates opportunities today and prepares for growth and expansion tomorrow.
Prior to joining GLP, Brian served in accounting and finance leadership roles in the hospitality and distribution industries.

Outside of the office, Brian is an experienced mountain athlete enjoying hiking, skiing, mountaineering, and rock climbing. He’s actively working to summit all Cascade volcanoes from British Columbia to California. He is an extremely proud father of two and enjoys raising future Pacific Northwest adventurers with his wife, Monica.
