Oregon Nursing Home Sued After Patient Death

nursing_0

In Florence, Oregon, Diane Richter has filed a nearly $1 million lawsuit against the nursing home that cared for her 83-year-old father, alleging that the facility didn’t do enough to address health symptoms that led to his death.

Diane Richter’s father was in the care of Regency Florence from October 2014 through March 2015. Richter’s suit claims that employees failed to properly care for her father’s nutrition and hydration needs, leading to severe dehydration and kidney failure before his death.
