Semi-Truck Hits Tow Truck, Shutting Down I-5 in Bellingham

In the early morning of Tuesday, a semi-truck and tow truck collided just north of West Bakerview Road in Bellingham, resulting in injuries and the closure of all lanes of the northbound I-5. First reported by WSDOT North (with video), the crash resulted in traffic being diverted to Bakerview Road. Kiro7 News reported that Trooper Kelsey Harding confirmed the nature of the crash and that it did result in injuries to at least one individual.

By 5:11am, the accident had been cleared and the lanes of I-5 reopened.
