Professional Overview

Janelle Carney Boston is an accomplished personal injury attorney and the Regional Managing Shareholder of Eastern Washington, including the Spokane and Tri-Cities offices. A lifelong advocate for fairness and justice, Janelle knew from the age of nine that she wanted to become a lawyer—and she has spent her career turning that passion into meaningful results for clients across Washington State.

Before joining GLP Attorneys, Janelle worked in the insurance industry, where she saw firsthand how difficult it can be for injured individuals to obtain fair treatment and full compensation. That experience solidified her resolve to stand on the side of people, not corporations. Since then, she has dedicated her practice to representing clients in wrongful death, premises liability, product liability, nursing home abuse and neglect, motor vehicle collisions, fire claims, and insurance bad faith cases. A skilled trial lawyer, Janelle is known for her tenacity in the courtroom and her unwavering commitment to justice.

Janelle also leads with purpose within the firm. As a key faculty member of the GLP Attorneys Trial Track Program, she trains and mentors attorneys across the firm in the art of trial advocacy—sharing her extensive courtroom experience to develop confident, capable litigators who are unafraid to stand before a jury. She is passionate about empowering the next generation of trial lawyers to advocate with both skill and heart.

A recognized leader in insurance bad faith law, Janelle frequently presents across Washington State on topics such as the Insurance Fair Conduct Act, underinsured motorist claims, and personal injury protection coverage. Her advocacy for holding insurance companies accountable has led to landmark results and earned her the Client’s Choice Award, one of her most meaningful honors.

Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, Janelle remains deeply involved in her community. She is the Co-Founder of Lady Boss Spokane, a professional organization dedicated to empowering and connecting women across the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene region.

As Regional Managing Shareholder, Janelle leads with empathy, strength, and integrity. Under her leadership, the GLP Attorneys Spokane office was named one of the Spokane Journal of Business’s Best Places to Work for four consecutive years—a reflection of her dedication to fostering a culture of care, mentorship, and collaboration for both clients and colleagues.

Outside the office, Janelle treasures time with her family of five, her 15-year-old dog Bruiser, and her extended family throughout the Pacific Northwest. Her warmth and work ethic continue to inspire her team and the clients she is honored to serve.
