Blake Kurtzman is a staff attorney in the Tacoma office.

Professional Overview

Blake joined GLP Attorneys as an intern during his first year of law school. Working with the firm’s attorneys, Blake saw first-hand how a dedicated advocate can turn one of the most stressful and overwhelming moments in an individual’s life into something manageable. After one summer with the firm, Blake decided to dedicate the rest of his law-school career to sharpening his skills in hopes of serving plaintiffs at GLP Attorneys.

Blake is a proud Redhawk, graduating magna cum laude from Seattle University School of Law. During law school, he got as much hands-on experience as possible. He completed two semester-long externships: one at the Seattle City Attorney’s Office and the other as a judicial extern to the Honorable Mary Jo Heston of the United States Bankruptcy Court at the Western District of Washington.

Blake was also an editor of the Seattle University Law Review and a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, and he competed in several oral advocacy competitions, including the Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition at St. John’s University in New York alongside his GLP Attorneys colleague, Phillip Ayers.
