Professional Overview

Sara Maleki has worked for GLP Attorneys since 2014 and is a Shareholder in the firm’s Spokane and Tri-Cities offices. She has successfully served the needs of personal injury clients in a variety of cases, including nursing home neglect, wrongful death, motor vehicle collision, premises liability, and products liability. She was awarded the Rising Star Super Lawyers award in 2017 – 2021. Since 2022, she has been awarded the Super Lawyer award, which is awarded only to the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state. Since 2016, Sara was selected by Spokane Coeur d’Alene Magazine as a Top Lawyer in Spokane.

Sara is devoted to caring for the diverse needs of her clients and values the uniqueness of each person. She honors diversity in all she does and prioritizes cultural principles stemming from around the world and locally, especially within the LGBTQ+ community and for all diverse people.

She is a past chair for the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ) Diversity Committee as well as the Co-Chair and founding member for the GLP Diversity Committee. In 2023, she received the Carl Maxey Award from WSAJ in recognition of her commitment to diversity in the legal profession. Sara also serves as Vice Chair on the Spokane Symphony Board of Trustees, where she serves as Chair of their Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee.

Sara loves to support her community. In addition to serving on the Spokane Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors, Sara serves on the Board of Directors for Planned Parenthood of the Inland Northwest. Sara has also been the Associate Director for Satori Camp for more than 20 years. Satori is a summer camp for gifted/highly capable teenagers, which is held annually at Eastern Washington University. With Satori, Sara spends her time administrating the summer camp, but her favorite part is being able to mentor junior high and high school students. It is her favorite week of the year, tied closely with celebrating the December holidays.

In her free time, Sara loves to make music as a member of the Spokane Symphony Chorale, travel with her spouse, cook vegan food, spend time with her family, and spend time with their pets – two cats named Maui and Moana, a parrot named Leilani, and a goldfish named Barbara.
