Cydney Campbell Webster Joins National Trial Advocacy Institute Faculty for Deposition Skills Workshop

GLP Attorneys is pleased to announce that Cydney Cambell Webster will join other acclaimed faculty members to speak on Deposition Skills & Trial Skills Course in an upcoming CLE program presented by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA). 

For more than fifty years, NITA has been the gold standard for teaching trial advocacy. From August 12 to August 13, 2024, at the Seattle University School of Law, practitioners can learn from Cydney and the exceptional NITA faculty about how to hone their trial skills. Participants in this CLE course will learn how to: 

  • Use the Funnel Technique to exhaust a witness’s knowledge
  • Identify other potential sources of information
  • Close off avenues of escape
  • Work with documents and exhibits to gather information, refresh memory, and impeach a witness
  • Test your potential theories—legal, factual, and persuasive
  • Deal with opposing counsel’s objections
  • Manage difficult witnesses, counsel, and clients
  • Become “comfortable with being uncomfortable” in the unpredictability of a deposition

Participants can earn up to 30 CLE credits, including one Ethics CLE credit and one credit toward the NITA Advocate Designation. 

  • Approximately 9 hrs. of CLE for Depositions Skills: Online
  • Approximately 16 hrs. of CLE for Building Trial Skills: Online
  • Approximately 15 hrs. of CLE for in-person Deposition Skills
  • Approximately 30 hrs. of CLE for in-person Building Trial Skills
