Seattle Apartment Fire Kills 1, Injures 3 in Roosevelt Neighborhood

On June 4, 2024, at 4:00 am, a fire spread through a vacant apartment building in the Seattle Roosevelt Neighborhood. Firefighters who arrived at the scene had the fire under control by 6:00 am.

The same building had a fire on May 8th. Since then, the building has been vacant and the owner had plans to demolish the building. Fire accidents typically occur due to negligence. It is the responsibility of the building owner to ensure that Washington State fire laws and safety regulations are followed.

Four people squatting in the apartment building were affected by this accident. One person passed away from their injuries, another person was severely injured, and two others had minor injuries. The cause of the fire and tragedy is still under investigation by the Fire Department.

GLP Attorneys sends our deepest condolences to the friends and families of the individual who passed away and wishes those who were injured a speedy recovery.
