One Injured in Suspected DUI Crash North of Bellingham

On January 4, 2024, at least one person was injured in a suspected DUI crash on Guide Meridian Road, as reported by the Bellingham Herald. This incident occurred at approximately 10:52 am and subsequently blocked all the lanes of Guide Meridian Road south of Smith Road. 

 

Washington State Patrol Officer Kelsey Harding explained the car drove northbound, crossed into the southbound lanes, and crashed into a ditch. She indicated the incident would be investigated as a potential DUI. The driver was taken to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham with undisclosed injuries.
